Gungi.io is an unofficial, fan-made implementation of Gungi, a fictional board game featured in the manga and anime series Hunter x Hunter, created by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Intellectual Property

All rights to Hunter x Hunter, including the concept of Gungi, its characters, and related intellectual property, belong to their respective owners. The name "Gungi" and the game concept originate from the Hunter x Hunter series.

Nature of This Project

This project is created out of appreciation for Hunter x Hunter and a desire to bring the fictional game of Gungi to life as a playable experience.

Game Rules Implementation

The rules implemented on Gungi.io are based on the official physical Gungi board game released by Universal Music Japan. Rule translations were made possible thanks to community members u/Ashtarr and u/zorrooo9 on Reddit. The game logic is open source and available at gungi.js.

No Commercial Claim

We do not claim ownership of the Gungi concept or the Hunter x Hunter intellectual property. Any Pro membership fees collected are solely to cover server costs and platform maintenance, not to profit from the Hunter x Hunter brand.
